DeKalb Medical - North Decatur offers a comprehensive breastfeeding support program and is staffed with RN IBCLC's (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) or RN CLC's (Certified Lactation Educators). Lactation support is open to any mother needing assistance with breastfeeding. The program includes prenatal breastfeeding basics class, lactation consultation 7 days per week (except holidays) for the newly delivered mother, a breastfeeding advice line, out-patient lactation consultation for mothers needing assistance once home with baby and Baby Talk, a breastfeeding support group.
