Congratulations on the birth of your child, and welcome to The Women’s Center at DeKalb Medical. We are delighted that you have chosen to share this special time with us. We have specially designed the facility to provide a quiet and comfortable place for you to rest and recover. We hope the following general information makes your stay pleasant. Please don’t hesitate to ask your nurse for any other information you might need.
AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE (ATM)
ATMs are located on the first floor, main hospital lobby across from “A” elevators and in the atrium/lobby of the Women’s Center.
PARKING
Your support person and other friends and family who visit you can park conveniently in the deck below the building.

Your telephone number while you are here is 404-501-plus your four-digit room number.
Dial 9 for an outside line. Local calls are free. For long distance calls, please use a calling card or cellular telephone.
VALUABLES
We suggest that you leave any valuables, such as cash, credit cards, check books or jewelry, at home or send them home with a family member or friend. If you are unable to do this, please ask your nurse for assistance.
VISITING HOURS
The Women’s Center welcomes family and friends who want to visit with new parents. Each area has specific visitation policies, so please check with your nurse. Your primary support person can be with you anytime – 24 hours a day if you like. Each room has a window seat couch. Other visitors are welcome during general visiting hours of 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. If you have other children, we strongly encourage that another adult is present when they come to visit you and your new baby.
DINING
The Women’s Center houses the Azalea Bistro on the first floor. Hours are 6:00 a.m. until 2 a.m. Monday through Friday. Hours are:
Monday through Friday Saturday and Sunday
6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
In addition to the Azalea Bistro, there is a Chick-Fil-A in the office building across from The Women’s Center and a cafeteria on the ground floor of the main hospital building. Both are open weekdays only.
