ArthritisCare

Physical and occupational therapy is provided for arthritic conditions including osteoporosis and fibromyalgia, as well as a variety of other musculoskeletal conditions such as bursitis and tendinitis. Treatments are designed to help clients attain their maximum potential for reducing pain and inflammation while improving deficits such as strength, balance, endurance and joint range of motion. Self-management by the client is the ultimate goal, with education playing a key role. Physical therapy treatments may include the use of heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation and individual exercise programs to help people with arthritis lead as active of a life as possible.

Aquatic Program

Our Aquatic therapy program consists of a physical or occupational therapist who works with our clients in our Wellness Center pool. Aquatic sessions are designed to allow clients to exercise in the water, reducing weight bearing forces and allowing clients to exercise with less pain. Programs are designed to address flexibility, strength, endurance and balance problems. The goal of the program is for clients to become independent in their own program. After an initial evaluation (on land) the clients are scheduled for 6-8 sessions in the water. This is a group class but individual sessions can be scheduled if needed. A lift is available for those patients who are unable to use the pool stairs.

Our Comprehensive Rehabilitation Solutions for Women include solutions for incontinence, solutions during and after pregnancy, solutions for pelvic pain, solutions for osteoporosis, solutions for lymphedema and solutions for fibromyalgia.
