Resources for Cancer Patients
One of the most important aspects of your care is having access to your care team. We have a Cancer Care Team that consists of cancer physicians, oncology-certified nurses and other specialty certified clinicians who are here to assist you in your cancer journey. Wellness on Wheels Mammograms
Screenings are provided to women free of charge who have no health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid through DeKalb Medical's mobile health clinic, Wellness on Wheels. You must have an appointment to receive a mammogram through Wellness on Wheels. To schedule appointments for this mammography service, please call 404.501.7175. Cancer Center Library/Publications
The Rose Mary Wilson Resource Library is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It was established to provide educational tools and cancer resources for patients going through diagnosis and treatment. The library is housed in the Cancer Center and is easily accessible to patients undergoing treatment in the Outpatient Infusion Center. In addition to a wide range of books, videos and DVDs, the library maintains a wide variety of informational brochures on cancer-related issues.
The Cancer Center produces a variety of printed cancer resources to help patients and people in the community to understand more about cancer. The publications, which are valuable resources for cancer patients, are distributed to patients in the hospital and are available to anyone interested upon request.
