If your doctor has diagnosed you with cancer and suggested a treatment but you’d like a second opinion, the DeKalb Medical Cancer Center can help with that as well. We are a Bloch Second Opinion institution – one of only five in the state. This means that DeKalb Medical has a group of highly trained specialists who will see you within 48 hours to provide a second opinion on your cancer diagnosis and treatment proposal. This can involve questions related to cancer screening, cancer diagnosis, surgical options for breast, prostate or any other cancer site, and review of suggested chemotherapy protocols and any other areas related to cancer treatment.
Your case may also be presented in our weekly Tumor Conference, where a large number of cancer specialists will review your case and form a consensus about the best course of action.
